Hit the road about 10:30 am. got to brothers in Balto. like 7:30p 395 mi. day 4 tanks of fuel. then to Fayetteville NC another 400ish day, both on I95 . Through the cotton fields to Waynesboro GA 350 mi.? as the hawk rides. last day down to Miami to visit mom . Gruuuuelling 600 mi . stretch . sat on the beach alot for a week recooperating for the return. I had my drive belt snap tooling around Miami . glad I had a spare and not loaded and on the road. took all Saturday to replace ' chasing down tools and all.
Camped just south of Daytona is what 260 mi or so then to Lumberton NC about 400 . Back up 95 . Then side roads to VA.Beach Via Raligh 350ish mi . Strong wind and a heavy shower over night ,but cleared in the morning . Fine riding otherwise and cooperative weather the whole rest of the trip. Was going to stay with a cousin in S. DE. but heard of pending foul weather for last Friday so I just made that a pit stop. Another 600+day and home. total milage 3600 +/- Seemed as though I could not get on the road ever before 9:30 /10:00am . I cant wait to do another .

'96 VN 800A fitted out to tour/commute in relative comfort /'89? Dnepr tub I thought if I get caught in real bad weather the outrigger could/would/might save my hide .
hope y'all enjoy my feeble account of this adventure. 🙂
peace love & bug splatter papasurf

600 mile day on a sidecar is a looooonnng day for sure. Here's hoping you have many more opportunities for more adventures. Take some pics for us.

Hi neighbor, what part of little rhodey you from? I live in northern RI. Looks like you made some good miles on your rig. I'm looking to do some camping in my rig this spring, nothing as long as you but some newengland trips.

Long days for sure . But I think not much more so than on two wheels. Jim , I am in Cumberland . Didn't we try to connect last summer, if I remember you were sorting out an auto shifter before a rally . And I had plans on that weekend. perhaps another opportunity will arise. papasurf

Yep, that's right we did. I got my shifter squared away but I still have a few small issues that pop up but it's to be expected with a bike that sat for so long. We have to get together this spring.
