Right Side or Left Side Sidecar for BSA
Two questions for the collective wisdom of the group:
1) I am in the US and want to mount a right-mounted sidecar to a British bike (old BSA M20). Knowing that the bike would have been designed for a left-mounted sidecar, I wonder if there are any logistical issues I should consider before buying a right-mounted sidecar (will the kick starter be impeded? will I be able to open the tool storage compartment? Exhaust header in the way? etc....)
2) There is an outfit in North Texas that imports all-steel welded sidecars, designed after some of the old classics. They are called 1sidecare (www.1sidecar.com). I believe the cars come from India. Does anyone have experience with them?
THANKS!
Read our posts regarding Safer wholesale in this forum.
The fit everything they mention, fits nothing and are usually incomplete sidecars.
See what BBB has to say about these crooks.
We have mounted right side cars on many older kicker bikes in the past without clearance problems.
