Riding in rain
I am going to get a sidecar and I was just wondering how you get rid of rain water in the sidecar when you are riding in the rain. This dumb question has been bothering me for some time. Thanks.

What kind of sidecar? My Ural has a couple drain holes.
I suppose it depends on what model sidecar you get. I have a ural side car. You couldn't get one of these to hold water in a million years. Drain holes in the floor of the car as well as the trunk.
Plus, it has a vinyl tonneau to keep rain from getting in. Connie uses the tonneau in inclement wather to protect herself from the weather, so rain wouldn't get in whith her in it either.
I am planning to get a Motorvation Formula II and hang it on my '03 Voyager XII. They are on of the few who have mounts for my bike. I was just curious and I asked them this question and they said I could remove some bolts or drill some holes. I was just wanted to know what others did in this case.
Thanks,
I have a MV FII, and drilled 1/4 " holes in the rear trunk area. also a couple up in the front. I also have a full convertible top to use when it rains. very water tight then. We found that out on a trip last summer :o(
water doesnt come in the drain holes ,so no problems.
You can also put a tonneau cover on the Formula II sidecars.
THE TONNEAU COVER ON MY SPIRIT OF AMERICA PRETTY MUCH KEEPS THE RAIN OUT NO MATTER HOW HARD IT'S COMING DOWN. AND THERE ARE TWO HOLES ON THE FLOOR TO LET ANY ACCUMULATION OUT WHEN I'M CAUGHT WITHOUT THE COVER ON IT. NEVER BEEN A PROBLEM REALLY AND I'VE RIDDEN IN SOME PRETTY NASTY STORMS OVER THE YEARS.
