Somone did put a lot of work in it alright. It has a welded framework fiberglassed into the body. It also fooled my local HD dealer. I can't fiigure why a previous owner put so much into a modification like this. My best guess is it was done to make it easier for a dog to walk right in if the seat is left out. I may be biased as I am getting a new dog and hope I can train him to ride in the hack. Frankly I would not have bought it if I knew it had this modification. Now I am not certian if I will keep it this way. I did purchase a second used body to use when I repaint the rig to match my bike.

Thanks for all the feedback as this forum helped me understand just what I have here.

Right now I am having too much fun with this rig take it apart to paint it.

Sure looks well done, I can see the convenience of it. I'm a big fan of original, but no where near a purest. If someone was going to modify a TLE it seems like it would be to make it easier to get in and out of.

Thanks for the pics...

well,,, I like it. When you get ready to sell it, let me know if you aren't a million miles away,,and the price is right of course 🙂

You have it easy! You get to use the car while getting the other body painted. It is quick to switch bodies.
