Took the motorcycle and sidecar to the grocery store yesterday because it was a reasonably nice day. When I came out there was yet another person standing over it, looking at it, and asking questions when they saw me walk up. Is this a Prototype? Is this a kit bike? Is this a replica?

I continue to be amazed at the number of people who stop and ask questions, or stick their hand out the window and give me a thumbs up, or look at it from the distance as they’re walking by.

Yes, I do like the fact that it gets a lot of attention, but only because it’s different; not because of some sort of personal ego thing. I grew up in a world where my parents and my siblings and I were constantly on display in a public arena, so I don’t have a thing about looking for attention. But I DO get a kick out of knowing that people aren’t sure what they’re looking at, and I love to inform them about it, when they ask.

🙂 I really confuse people. I took the brand badging off, and put on Cadillac emblems. One of my buddies overheard someone else leaving work (oddly enough, I build Cadillacs...) and say, "I didn't know Cadillac built motorcycles." LOL From someone who actually builds Cadillacs, yet.

We some times do this on purpose. What brand and model of bike is in the photo of the custom bike we build a few years back? And for bonus points, the sidecar used?

Suzuki Savage. As for the sidecar, Globe GS200?

Right on the bike, the sidecar is far more obscure then the Globe however it more then likely is a Globe that came out of the same factory but with a different brand name on it. One of only 2 that I have seen with this brand name.
For the Savage we had a customer who always wanted a "reliable" British single. As we had build about 15 sidecar rigs for this man (now passed away, last name was Harms) he sent us the Savage and had us using Enfield parts change up the looks of the bike which is not as straight forward as it looks.

Looks fantastic. I'm gonna guess it's a continental sidecar. Because I'm so knowledgeable. 🙂 That, and you left the tag on the photo. 😛

I don't know a continental from a hole in the ground until you posted this build a while ago. (I think it was here, anyhow, might have been elsewhere.) But I'm just messing with you, I still wouldn't have knew what it was if you remembered to take the label off the photo. 🙂 It does look fantastic, though. You do real nice work.
