What does "rank" refer to in the personal profiles?

Marsha,

Welcome and thanks for joining up! The "rank" thing is kind of dumb but it is built into our forum software and harder to defeat than ignore. As you post here on sidecar.com the forum software tracks the number of times and the frequency of your posts. I don't know what all the ranks are but over time the software will "promote" you to different ranks. I think the "Regular" is right after "New user". The last time I looked I was ranked as an "Extreme Veteran". That title will get you exactly nothing anywhere I know of, including here!

The net is, please ignore the "rank" system.

I don't have to bow and kiss your ring anymore then, Al?

Bob, it never was an "and" thing. Either bow OR kiss the ring.

Where is this 'rank' thing anyhow? I usually bow when I throw up and in all honesty have never kissed a ring. You guys are weird...LOL.
