Hello, I recently purchased a restored 1978 Vespa PX150 from a restoration firm in Fullerton, CA. It was shipped to me in Texas. The restoration firm is not very communicative with lots of details or information about the bike and sidecar and I just need to get any feedback on any topic at all with regard to sidecar origin? (Restorer said it is modern-not vintage.) Does anyone know who makes this sidecar and how much it is worth? Safety? Durability? Ease of use? How I could receive a user manual for it?

Also any Vespa experts out there who could take a look at these photos and give me your opinion as to the authenticity, make, model, history--anything at all.

This is a 2-stroke, 4 gear shift on handlebar, kickstart.

These photos show the Vespa and sidecar right out of the wooden crating. Inside the sidecar lay the sidecar windshield and the sidecar luggage rack which have now been installed (but will not be seen in this photo).

Can anyone share with me what they believe the value or cost of this Vespa with sidecar might be. I'm interested to see if it's valued differently in various regions of the US or around the world.

I'm not interested in selling it. My interests and goals are to obtain as much information about the Vespa and sidecar as possible. All opinions are welcome.

I beleive that a cozy Rocket sidecar, check this site:
http://www.tinyurl.com/5tsj5y as far as the cost of the scooter goes it all depends if it's been upgraded with new wiring, ignition and engine parts but if you do a google search you should be able to find the info you want which maybe you should have done before purchasing it, I doubt that you got hurt, there's a reather large scooter bunch out there so the restores have to present costs that are competitive.
