Pierogi i Kawa nad Odra.

Hello Friends and Igor,
a 2 Zloty coin reminds me to a 160 Miles ride down the Oder/Odra river on the Polish side 2 days ago....
This trip was a very harsh eye opening experience of contrasts from proud crowded Berlin to the total opposite just 40 miles further east.
I lost the count of how many soldier memorials I passed by.
I guess there were more soviet time memorials then anglers fishing on the flooded river edge.
The long discussion in Spanish with a historic shovel boat ferry captain offered a new point of view about politics and life in general to me.
Pierogi and Coffee at a small road restaurant in the endless forests on the Oder/Odra river edge opened my taste for more.
It is good to look above the edge of your own horizon and explore new unknown places and languages.
Now I know Kawa is not the brand of my motorcycle but a black beverage called by us coffee.
Igor, the day I have more time for sure I will look for to find the way south to Silesia and hopefully visit you.
Best regards to all who throw off the bow lines of their personal boat for to explore new lands.
Sven
PS: Early next morning on the other side of the Haff in Stary Warpno / Altwarp I felt like I had experienced a time warp.
But no, it is reality.
Time to recapitulate our own life and set priorities in a different way.
Sven, sounds like you're having a mighty fine trip and making good memories. Here's to continued safe and exciting travels my friend!!

Pierogi i Kawa nad Odra
=

Pierogi = A kind of pasta wraped around cabbage and caraway seed.
Tasty!
