Wooden bridge....damn the camara was home. last Sunday. Hadn't seen a hanging bridge in that a bad shape ever, cables pulled down and swinging at 30° angle, distance perhaps 70m, 15m above the washed out river.Potrerillo
Costa Rica, between San Jeronimo de Esparza y Cerrillo in the middle of nowhere. 84°38'W, 10°3'N.
Well anyhow not valid, that was with the solo.
Sounds like fun.

What a sight. Sven, you need to remember to carry your camera along -- the pic above was taken with a new-fangled phone w/camera one day when I decided ... let's see where this road goes....

Hey, Smith8833, we will accept a pic of a suspension bridge. Laughing

I had been on the road for the weekend, but only with the solo bike, so I don't think fotos would be valid for the idea of the game. anyhow I guess this tree is impresive. Just as substitute of the wooden bridge...
After dawn and on the hurry to get in time to the ferry I passed over a bridge that was formed by 1m thick logs and some soil on top.

Enjoy life while you can. this was a vacation from the family for 2 days and 280mi of which 140 were gravel.

Surfer City Santa Teresita of Malpais is a dusty bussiness. 17 years ago when I passed there with my 1960 Willies the first and last time there were 4 houses on the whole stretch. Now its crowded. Looks like wild west... Agricultural lots in this area were available in 1992 for little over 3000$ an hectar = 1300$ / acre. Now? forget it....

GREAT Tree!!!

Covered wooden bridge no longer in use in Stoystown, PA. About 7 miles from the Flight 93 Memorial.
Quite a few covered bridges in this area and nice roads, too!

I had full intentions of getting a shadow pic this weekend, but it was cloudy all day Saturday and we spent much of the day doing maintenance on Jena's Burgman rig. The sun was shining here today, but we were just too busy. Maybe someone can go "catch some rays" and find your shadow.

Hey Buddies,
Thursday I just came back from old Germany. This 3 week bussines journey was my first spring after 23 years living in the tropics.
What a great thing! You go to work in the morning with brown trees and come back in the afternoon and new green leaves stretch into the air.
I would have loved to ride a rig these days, but if so: For sure I wouldn't have worked at all!
Enjoy these days!
Sven
