I have been looking with no luck so far for a bottom seat cushion for my 1980 Harley sidecar. Is there somewhenre I could find the dimensions or maybe some pictures of the lower cushion? I think I could make one easy enough if I knew what I was making! ๐Ÿ™‚

Kurt, your motto sounds like another way to describe a "hands on engineer in Latinamerica".
21 years trying to bring development down here.
And finally I learned the hard way:"You can help only those who want to get helped."

No idea of the seat though.

Thanks, Sven. I can't take credit for the signature, though. It's from one of my favorite authors.

Hi,

I had a few minutes so I ran out to the garage where my rig is parked. Below is a picture with the dimensions shown. It's 17" wide X 15" deep X 4" thick with 3/16" piping. The part number shown is available from zanottimotor.com for $81.71. If I were you, I wouldn't even bother to make one for that amount. Of course, there would be shipping on top of that but Zanotti's has excellent prices and no tax unless you are in Pennsylvania.

From time to time, you will see a seat top or bottom on eBay but they are usually badly worn or torn at higher prices than the dealers. The part number is from my 2004 FL parts book. Apparently, 1991 was the previous change as of 2004. Harley will change minor things from time to time and will either add a letter after the part number or will give a new part number depending upon the nature of the change.

Say what you will about HD, they do supply parts when you need them.

Hope this helps.
