Patriot Guard Riders
Anyone here ride with the PGR?
I did my first mission today - a Welcome Home Mission for a soldier returning to San Jose from Iraq. I was the only rig in the group of 25 bikes, but I was pleased with the positive reception they all gave me. Truly a great bunch of riders and a great cause.

I have not officially associated with the PGR as work responsibilities generally restrict my opportunities to assist with such matters. It's good to learn rigs are OK. A couple of families in this area seemed to appreciate the PGR's escort.

I don't make them all, however do ride with them when I can.
I haven't seen any other sidecar owners on any missions I've
attended. I'm always welcomed with the sidecar, as well, people
in cars and trucks are welcomed too.

San José, Costa Rica ain't that a good help?
There are about 12 rigs in the hole country registered.
In 20 years I met only 3 on the road (one of them was on his Patagonia trip here from the forum as I later saw on his web page) + 3 inside the importers shop.
So there is not much change to make a ride out with companionship.
In US in 2 month I met only one with a lousy set up an Grand Canyon.(twisted Mickey Mouse oven pipe clamps without subframe)
You will have more luck up there in the north.

Hello Hyster,
New member here, and just got my new rig out of the shop yesterday afternoon.
I'm the Patriot Guard Riders Senior Ride Captain for Southeast Wisconsin. No side cars up here, but lots of trikes. Nobody cares what you ride, even if it's in a car, or truck. You're a member of the PGR, and "DOING THE RIGHT THING" for our men and women in uniform. Wait until you do a funeral escort for a fallen hero, and a family member comes up to you, with tears in their eyes, and thanks you for what you're doing! The little we do is so insignifacent but so important to the friends and family that it is just unbelievable, them thanking us....its us that are thanking them for their sacrifice.
You'll never meet a better group of caring individuals.
GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES...
Jim
