Urals come with a parking brake. You never hear of them unless a newbie is asking what the heck it is for or if someone finally uses one and accidently breaks the plastic handle off on the thing. Having a reverse is really sort of neat.
I believe I have used mine in doing some maintenance in the past, but it has been so long ago that I really don't remember just what possessed be to do so in the first place. Maybe it was when I was checking the sidecar wheel in adjusting brakes and such, but I honestly don't recall at this point. Maybe I just don't park on the right degree of hills, but I can't say I have used the parking brake for much over the past few years. Heck, I have to think out how to use the ones on my PT Cruiser and My Honda CRV. I don't use them either, 'cept when time to get the csrs inspected.
