Anybody here ever use the Pac Safe product? I saw it in Popular Mechanics, its a slash proof wire mesh that you can wrap around a duffle bag and then chain to something solid to make your bag mostly tamper proof. They also make a smaller duffel that has the wire mesh already built into the bag. I'm thinking about trying one out, so I feel a little more secure leaving a camera or other valuables in the sidecar while going in someplace. They even make a helmet bag.
I just finished a 22 day trip touring Italy, France and Spain. Used a PacSafe wesh on my duffel which was fastened on the rear seat over the side panniers. I liked it and was comfortable with my gear inside when I left the bike for lunch or side excursions.No real way to tell if i needed it, I guess. but i will use it on future trips where hard luggage is insufficient/unavailable
