Now I need to say this 1st about myself because everyone is not like me. I like people and I love talking with them. And if we can talk about my rig then it is great. Lol. I do know when to close my mouth. I learn more that way.

Well to day was one of those great days. I was setting in the parking lot, at my Honda dealer, after picking up a part when a couple came up to me and said they like my rig. The man’s 1st ride was an old BSA with a sidecar and they are waiting on some mounts to come in so they can set up a sidecar rig. About Β½ hour later we both pull out and at the 1st red light they pulled up beside me in their car and took my picture. Now that to me is a good day I made some new friends.

Now on the other side of the coin I got my Directory today and counted the members from Fla. there were 24. That is not good. We can ride almost year around, not in the BIG storms. Lol. There are too many bikes here to not be more with sidecars.

So here is the deal. I can not change it by myself but all 24 of us can. Please print 3 USCA Application off the net or The Sidecarest and pass them out to people you meet in the next year. One of them will join us. Oh and you will need to renew yourself too. And next years Directory we will look a lot better.

And yes I pass one out today so I am one up on you. Just kidding

Richard

As far as conversations go Richard, I'm like you. Never walk away from a good conversation. If it's about the rig (and it usually is, especially if Archie is sitting there in his doggles) it's best if no one is waiting for me to be anywhere at an appointed time.

Got my directory today and was disappointed to see my name was not listed. I'd swear I'd marked both emergency and friendship on the application. I e-mailed Al and he said I'd be in next year's. Oh well, everyone can grab a pen and write in Tom Wells, Reardan in the Washington section. OK? 796-4850.

Arch wears them well unless the weather is too hot or he gets so much slobber blown back onto the lenses he can hardly see. Then he'll shake his head and they come up onto his forehead. He knows he's supposed to wear them if we're on the road. He'll wear them if posing for pictures until his impatience to ride sets in, then he'll let me know he's done posing. Always interesting.

Yep, I used to take pride in how long I could sit at a stop sign or stop light and not put my foot down. The third wheel has increased that length of time phenomenally! ;>)

Richard....

There are 5 of us in South Florida, Dade, Broward and Palm Beach that I know of. It has been too rainy to get together lately, but last dry season we rode almost every weekend and during the week. Check out 1200hack, and doublej if he is a member yet. We are always looking for excuses to ride somewhere, and most of our time is spent out in the 'glades looking at gators. We also enjoy showing off our rigs. We all ride R1200C's with various tubs. Come on down!
