Off Topic WA state weather
Just wanted to post a note hoping that all you folks up in the North West are safe and sound and didn't incur too much damage from the recent storm. News down here in SoCal has been saying this was Seattle's worst storm.

Haven't heard from anyone who frequents this board from the west side but we fared well here at Reardan. We didn't even loose power although very large areas all around us did. And some are still out in the Spokane/C d'A area. Our daughter in Tacoma had part of a fence blow down but no real damage to speak of. It sure blew like crazy though!
I got word from Steve Woodward overnight. They are still without power and are staying with friends in Seattle. He says that he is hopeful that power will be restored today but trees are down everywhere. They important thing is that they are all ok.
Glad to hear a couple updates. I haven't seen Dauntless post for awhile, hope Jay's shop, family and employee's faired okay through it all as well. The news video has been chilling to watch. Mother Nature can be cruel. Some of those tree's that fell, splitting homes in half basically. Yikes

In the Buffalo New York area we had a freak snow storm in October 13th on a friday no less.
It took out power in some areas for close to 3 weeks.
Power crews from the west came as far as Mo. Ill. and Iowa to the western New york area to help with restoring power and in cleaning the trees that fell because of the snow amount combined with the leaves that were on the trees still that caused the trees to split and branches to snap falling on the power and phone lines.
We were with out power for several days both at home and the shop. We also lost a window in our show room. Every one is ok here. Many people in the area are still with out power including my father in law.

I was in Boise, ID during the storm. On the way back it was 8 degrees with fog and rough ice on I-82 and I-5. I passed two convoys of electrical service truck convoys from Colorado, headed for the Seattle area. Pulled off I-5 at North Bend and there were hundreds of downed trees and power poles and no power in any of the towns till Monroe on Highway 2. It was stop and go at all traffic signals.
One gas station had auxiliary power to 1 pump and there were cars lined up for blocks waiting to fuel up in Snoqualmie.
Got back to Marysville on Sunday and only one garbage can had blown over here. The power went off a few times but only for a bit.
There are hundreds of thousands still without power and they may get it back by Friday. No promises though.
At least it has warmed up to the 40's during the day.

Glad to hear it was just a trash can blown over and Jay, I guess a window isn't that bad in the whole scheme of things up there. Stay safe everyoneL
