Wow, what a great trip you have planned. I did the same thing a couple years ago on a solo bike and had a great time. You are going to enjoy the museum and if the owner is present, he will show you around and maybe start some of the bikes. The resort your staying in is very nice and its fun just to be there interacting with the other bikers that are constantly coming and going. I don't have my map in front of me, but I think highway 28 heads south and you can see some waterfalls and a great ride. Have a great trip and I look forward to seeing some pictures of your grandsons smiles when you return.

Very cool. I took my 7 year old grandson for a 50 mile ride last Sunday for the first time with the hack on and he lived it. He was my first passenger since I put my hack on. I am hoping next spring he and I will go camping in the Georgia mountains. He has always loved riding with me but I was afraid to go to far as he might fall asleep and fall off. Now with the hack I do not have to worry.

Hey 46u, Trust me they fall asleep in a hack as easy as on the bike. be sure that their fingers, hands etc. are safely inside the hack body

I agree but a lot harder to fall out of a hack then off a motorcycle. My grandson for his age is short and his shoulders hardly come up to the top of the body of the sidecar. But we know to keep and eye on them at all cost and very good advice.

I am going to move the plug for the intercom and radio to the right side or the passenger seat and put the headset and mic in his helmet so we can talk. He all ways wants to ask questions which is normal for a 7 year old and hard to hear him over the radio. With the intercom the volume on the radio will get real low when he or I talk on the intercom.

Gods speed on you travels. Please keep us posted.

Barry , the museum was great I could have spent days in there. Teh owner picked Aiden up and flopped him on a 37 Harley Panhead (completely restored) and said "here take a picture". Some of my friends were there the day before (i didn't know till I got home) and they have a Motorcycle repair shop in Martinsburg WV and Dale(owner) fired up a couple old Board Racer bikes fromthe 20's for them.

Lee (Swampfox) It was a great trip (one day of rain while we were at Deals Gap Mototcycle Resort) I just read the comments so I will try to get something written up for the Sidecarist. Although pictures are limited since I lost my camera somewhere between Natural Bridge VA and Inwood WV, presumably along I-81 northbound( that is a 180 mile stretch ). I do have some pics from my phone which is an 8MP so they are pretty good.

46u The intercom is the best thing I did so far . Its awesome to be able to talk to him while riding and he loves to sing , his ABCs, counting, bible songs he is hilarious. The best thing is when he sees something new and you hear "WOW Pap Pap look at ________!!"

They did not make pan heads till 1948. In 1937 had to be either a E knuckle head, U big flat head or a W small flat head. But does not really mater and very cool that he put him on a old bike. Hope you have a picture of it.
