Hi Gary,
I am new to sidecar riding also, I just purshased my first rig in April. I found it in Union City, Indiana. It is a 1989 Honda Goldwing with a Motorvation Formula II sidecar, that the nose flips forward.
I needed something to ride my Mom with me, she is 82 and loves it!! I have ridden the Grandkids with me also (I am a Memaw),Linda, I gotta ask...what is a Memaw? What does it men?

I can answer that, Bob. It's a southern term of endearment meaning Grandma, much like Oma and Opa up here. We heard MeMaw and Pawpaw a lot when we lived in Lexington.
Something not addressed here that was in the original comment; sidecar vs. trike. I have owned a number of each and feel much more comfortable carrying my grandchildren in the sidecar. I feel much safer running a sidecar. I've had trike wheels come up going both left and right and there really wasn't a way to add ballast or move things farther away to stabilize it. When I had my trikes there was not as many sources of sidecars and subframes as there are today. I can honestly say I have no plans of ever owning another trike.
In regards to post 36471 from Bob.
Hi Bob, Hope I do this okay. I guess a Memaw is the same as a Grandma, Granny, Nanna, etc. It is what the grandkids choose to call me when they were younger, I let them choose. I do answer to other names also like Mom when we are all together. Heck, sometimes I go through the whole list of names before I get the one I mean. Ha Ha, guess my sometimers kicks in 🙂 know what I mean?
Ride safe, Linda
