Y'all welcome new sidecarist Hugh, who last week acquired his first sidecar rig, a V-Star 1100 Silverado with Texas Ranger sidecar. Let's pray for continuing success with his chemo treatments and the stamina to for a couple of overnight camping trips this fall:

Hugh's already planning to camp at the Rich Mountain Rendezvous sidecar gathering: http://www.sidecar.com/mbbs22/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=11220&posts=2&start=1

Every single moment is worth it. Not any step back, not even for to catch impuls.
Best wishes from a "little" further South, where my father in law went back to work on his coffee plantation at the age of 78.
He did well with the boots on until his last day 8 years later.
Or my mother who has earned herself the nick name as iron lady by daily sport and golf all year round.
Hugh, You'll make it!
The attitude makes the difference.

Sven

Just an example what I mean with not any step backward.
The friend we braught today to her families grave boveda was struggling the last 35 years with organs loosing their function one after the other, anyhow she wold never stop giving the best of her. She was always the best scholar, university teacher, museeum administrator, active in church and on top just a month ago finished her Masters degree. A chears on Guisele's example and abnegation. All the old friends are proud on her. We are grateful and honoured to to have her had at our side as a brilliant guide and example to follow. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Applause to Hugh for his efford and step into a new adventure. Right so! Best wishes and God bless You, may he led you on every track and step. 🙂 🙂 🙂

An upbeat attitude is always a great healer. And Hugh has it as demonstrated by taking on a new hobby. So, welcome Hugh and God Bless.

Great, Hugh, we're all for you and praying the absolute best. I'm no stranger to health miracles occurring in my own life so I agree with the others to say GOD BLESS! Get well soon!

Hugh is in between treatments and was up for a short ride, so Maddie & I met him in this morning for his first ride out of his neighborhood. Smile We spent a couple of hours riding some local slower paced parish (county) paved roads , including a few parking lot exercises and a couple of stops to discuss & visit:

Hugh was up for ride again. Taking advantage of an unseasonably cool morning, we rode ~90 miles.  He was stronger today and more comfortable piloting his rig than the last ride.  Looks like 2 more of these chemo treatments remain, likely beginning next week.   A pic from today -- Hugh center, Jena & Corkie left and Maddie right:
