new sidecar odered today
Just to let you all know that I ordered my new sidecar this morning from Motorvation Eng from Sibley IA. I decided to get the HD Spyder to put on my HD ultra classic. It looked liked a well built sidecar and I have a friend who has-had two of them. Their location also was good too. I live on the eastern part of Iowa, they,re on the western side of the state. Now I have to wait, about 3 months for delivery. If any body lives around the Waterloo iA area drop me a note. It would be nice to get some advice/riding tips from an old timer while waiting for mine. Thanks
Bruce W
Welcome Bruce, I am an old timer, but don't have enough sidecar experience to help you much. You can download a couple of great books for free in the links and books section of this site. They will give you a lot of good information, and something to do while you are waiting for yours to come in. You might check the sidecar training section of the board, I don't know if there is anything offered in you area, but the training would help you get off on the right foot. Hope you really enjoy your rig, and good luck.
Hey Bruce, I just ordered a spyder arrow from Motorvation. I am putting it on my indian spirit. The 3 month wait will feel like an eternity I am sure. I am in Bullhead City, Arizona and they will ship it to local bike shop here for installation. I am considering taking a sidecar class up in Washington but not certain if it will be worth the expense. Good luck and keep me posted on your progress.

Hi Shanda:
Welcome to the sidecar world. 🙂
Here is a link to a training location closer to AZ. .. The scenery is spectacular and Vernon, the instructor is very experienced. Check out the site:

I think you find the training extremely helpful, and lots of fun.
Post pics when you get your new rig.
If you are interested in riding a sidecar challenging highway try Oatman - Co Hwy 10 between Oatman and Kingman. Take it slow.
Ride safe, your CA neighbor, Gail
Shanda--a three wheel course anywhere will usually be worth it. I went to the Washington course and couldn't have done better. Great instructors and great challenge (and automatic license at the end-which is required here.)
If you can afford it-highly recommended. Mike
Thanks for the info Gail. Where are you in SoCal. Born and raised in Covina, CA. My sister lives in Upland. I plan on being there within the next couple of weeks. If you are available I sure would enjoy talking with you. Are you riding out to the Laughlin River Run at the end of this month?

Thanks for the info Mike. I have family outside of Yakima so I could combine the class with visiting family.
