I'm working with an Italian company, The Black Douglas Motorcycle Company www.theblackdouglas.co.uk , and one of my jobs is to design a proper sidecar for it. It will be wicker bodied, probably unsprung and with a 21" wheel to match the bike. The rig will be powered by a 500 cc Fuji with a torque converter.
Other than that I'm open to input.
There doesn't seem to be much in the way of pictures or drawings on the interweb of period sidecars, lots of the same couple of rigs, so if any one out there has some photos or drawings I can use as a guide I'd sure like to see them.
Advice on the foolhardiness of this venture will be too late. People have been telling me all my life that I should be committed and I'm already committed to this project. Thanks all.
