Hello everyone. I came across a sidecar that I thought would be a fun restoration project. Picked it up yesterday and discovered it is a Motovation, constructed in 1979. Carpet and interior need some work and it's obviously been poorly painted (lots of peeling from poor prep work). Fender is cracked too. There is an auxiliary tank under the seat and a pump to gas up the bike on long trips. It also has the cover with it in pretty good shape, just needs a few snaps replaced.

Can anyone identify the specific model? Looks like a Coupe Royale with the top chopped off! I need a new shock for it and replacement light housings.

So, for those of you who are into these rigs, I'm wondering if I've bitten off more than I can chew. Body work is my weak point and I'm not sure if I'll ne able to produce a good result. I paid $500 for it - probably too much. Oh well/ I'd like to hear any feedback anyone might have!

Thanks!

Yes, it is a Roadster Royale.
We can help you with mounting hardware, I believe Motovation still offers this sidecar so they should be able to help you with any specific items you may need.
