Hello my new friends.

Post #1 is lay-bare. A 50-year biker, the last 28 on Harleys, currently on a 1990 Low Rider, residing in a southern 'burb (in Kansas) of Kansas City, Mo. Due to a health condition which is far to boring to relate here, left leg weakness has sent me to your door. Trikes are out, training wheel kits are out, hacks are in.

I fully understand that there is a whole new set of skills involved, but what I miss in reading and talking, you guys and gals will help me with I'm sure.

I'm too inexperienced to even know what I don't know, so I'm off to your library, and then I'll lurk allot.

There were just a couple of things to ask:
1. Texas Sidecar Company has a rig that would fit. Thumbs up or down?
2. Motorvation's Spyder model is a rig that would fit. Thumbs up or down?
3. Other companies I should check?

Many thanks,

Rossi

Welcome Rossi,
Both mentioned hacks work well with your Low Rider. Velorex is also popular.

hello Rossi, there are a lot of people here that know sidecars,my advice is to make sure your sidecar is set up right.a sidecar is so different so if possible find a sidecar class and practice driving your sidecar.as far as sidecar brands i am a hd sidecar guy [but thats my choice] so i dont know much about other brands.you will find many here that are in the same boat with problems that without a sidecar we would give up riding[myself included]so hopefully you will find the info you need .

Welcome to the wonderful world of sidecars. I'm a newbie at this also - only been riding for 1 1/2 months, so far, and almost 1K miles. I took the STEP (Sidecar/Trike Education Program) class in Lufkin, TX and it was well worth it. Take a class, then practice, practice and more practice. From personal experience the folks at Motorvation will do all they can to help you. Enjoy.

Hi Rossie
Late last year I installed a Velorex 563 on my 2008 StreetBob.I got a lot of help from the folks here. Learning to ride(drive) one takes a little time but it's a lot of fun. You can learn a lot by reading the posts and asking questions... I just put a picture of by rig in my album .

Do not fly the chair while riding on ice. It is considered bad luck to do so.
