N. C. Helmet laws

Going to take the sidecar to N C mountains. I know you have to have helmet on 2 wheels ,but I can not find out the law on helmets when on a sidecar rig or trike. Anyone know? Thanks

In most states sidehacks and trikes must adhere to the general motorcycle laws. There are exeptions. ie: lane splitting, lane sharing.
I've found that some passenger laws are unenforceable and subjectively enforced. ie: passenger footpegs, eye protection, etc.
Washington had, if you had a roll bar and seatbelt, a helmet wasn't needed.

Helmet laws exist so that you will survive long enough to pay the fine.
