At Americade I saw a modern Road King with a 36-67 HD sidecar attached. I am interested in creating such a rig with my 03 Harley. I currently drive and maintain a 49 Panhead with an LE car so I have some exerience. I have no idea where to begin with this project. Sure could use some advice.

The easy way to do it would be to get a late model frame and replace the fiberglass tub with an early "Dutch Shoe" version and fender. The early body will will fit on a late-model frame with little modification. You can get repro bodies and I've seen some originals on eBay within the past month or so. The early frame just won't fit.....unless you get out your cutting torch and have a lot of time.

Hey pigpen, those Liberty sidecars look alot like an early, steel bodied HD sidecar, would be alot easier to mount, just a thought, Doc.
