Merlin sidecar
I am in Calif. and am interested in finding a Merlin sidecar that would fit a Honda st1100. Does anyone know of a distributor or supplier that can get the sidecar and then do the conversion? thanks in adavance for your help. Rick
My limited experience is that the "English" speaking countrys (UK and Australia) make some awesome sidecars- and just TRY to get hold of one. Maybe their America-phobic or something. Watsonian-Squire is easier to get along with... I have a feeling you'll need to get your rig built over there and have it shipped, if they're capable of putting it on the right side. Try to contact them directly.
Rick,
Whew, I have been drooling over those Merlins for quite a while. I can say they are not inexpenxive and also that I do not think there are any actually in the states, much less distributors. Of course you could have th ehonor of being the first owner in the USA maybe?
Downside? I was told they only make left hand conversions but had never checked with them personally.
If you are looking for a good handling rig the EZS is available here as is the newly introcuced Hannigan Bandito. Wouldn't hurt to check them out maybe. The EZS is not, to the best of my knowledge, offering any type of center hub steering where the Bandito is. The Bandidito at this time is Suzukui Bandit based but it would not hurt to talk to Dave Hannigan about any future plans he may have.
To check out Merlin their contact info is available at this link. Click here:

Another site you may want to check out is hpsidecars.com. I am a moderator there and it is a site dedicated to high performance sidecars. We do have a lot of european members and I bet your questions could be answered pretty quickly maybe even from an owner's viewpoint.

Another good source for input may be, friend, Mick Tompson's site.It is a UK based yahoo sidecar site. There are Merlin owners on board at that site.
