lower mount question

Please see pics
My rear lower mount heim joit is angled too much.

Can it be left as is or should it be free to move on the ball joit.
Once it's setup, I am assuming there should not be any movemnt in there anyway right?
I am thinking the only reason it has the ball joint is for leanout setup, but once that is set nothing moves, is this correct?

Thanks guys
David

It looks like a 90 degree boss and clamp assembly would look better aestheticly but this works.
As long as the joint isn't in an actual bind no harm is done.
Unless they are worn there wouldn't be any movement in the Heim joints except for whenone is aligning the rig.

That looks like a Dauntless subframe. Is it possible you have the back one on the front and the front one on the back? If I remember right I had a bit of confusion setting up my Valkyrie.

Maybe it was the combination of the piece that fits between that piece and the sidecar. There was a difference between the angles that wasn't at first apparent. When I got it figured out, with Jay's help, everything lined up straight.

Many of the attachment kits have one 45 degree boss and clamp set and a 70 degree boss and clamp set. These parts can be mixed by an installer not aware of the differences. If mixed neither rod end (heim joint) will be in true alignment with the clevis mounts.
Using the proper set in front and back can also help in your sidecar wheel lead settings so the sidecar isn't mounted too far forward causing excessive steering effort.

well sounds like for now i can just leave it as is.
I finally have my rig setup where i like it, no pull no push no wobble.
I will start experimanting with mounts next time i have to remove the sidecar.

Thanks
David
