liability insurance for activities

Here is my question/concern. Last year we went to a couple of senior citz homes and gave rides to the residents. The question has come up. If an accident had happened 1. would all of us be liable ?
or maybe I should be asking who would be liable? One person mentioned that we could all be sued
even though we are not an organized club. 2. Should we in the future ask the center to sign some kind of a wavier? We/I would appreciate any imput on this.

Contact a local lawyer. The laws are different from one state to another. Wisconsin's outdoor recreation liability laws insulate you as long as you aren't charging money and you don't act in an overtly reckless manner. In most states I would think your MC insurance should cover you, again, as long as you aren't charging for rides. Just the same, consult a local lawyer.
