I was going through the e-mail a few minutes ago answering questions about the up coming National in Vermont and recieved a message from Jim Bryant and that he was in a motorcycle accident in Bejing, China last Sunday, they are to operate on him tomorrow.

Those of you that recieved your latest issue of the sidecarist most likely read the article about him and the beginings of his business along with the color photos on the lower front page of the magazine.

I was looking forward to meeting him in Vermont in July but that all can wait as there are more important things to be conserned with now,Let's hope Jim has a safe and speedy recovery!

Just got a message from Jim, he says that he just got out of the hospital and is looking at a few months of physical therapy.

Sarge - 5/27/2010 9:22 PM Chuck, Any news? Sarge

This from Jim:

He was riding one of his Bonnevilles through an intersection about 10 PM he had
the green light, 2 pedestrians walked out in front of him, he hit one of them and
that knocked him off off of his bike.

Jim says that the pedestrain was treated and released the
same night. But Jim broke and dislocated his shoulder where it
connects to the clavical. He said that they inserted a titanium hook and plate to hold it
together. His knee also took a big hit but nothing was broken there.

Most of us hit deer. Only Jim could come up with tagging a pedestrian! Sounds like Mr Chin was one lucky fellow to be hit by a cycle and treated and released.

If the Bonneville had been hacked he'd be joining us in VT. Is there a lesson here?
