Best I can offer on the web for the moment.

Lloyd&Ute are at 20:55.
Jim Norman&Chere Horel from Corona NM are at 21:09 (red Yamaha side car; I've no email address, perhaps sb can inform them).

Have fun.

Best wishes,

Lorenz

Thanks for sharing.

I have not been on a long trips with my hack on yet. It has been on for about 5 months and 4,000 miles. The longest one will be end of March about 250 mile one way and 250 miles back in the same day. As a solo bike I did to Georgia to Alaska and back little over 10,000 mile in just over a month but I am guessing with a hack it takes longer.

I am 58 and not in the best shape one of the reasons I put my hack on is do to my felling knees. What is a good days ride with a hack. I am planing some long trips and is why I asked.
Thanks
Jeff

Hi Jeff

I have a "slow" right leg due to multiple sclerosis (MS). This is the reason I have a third wheel. Before MS I rode solo motorcycles and loved the winding roads, loved the leaning and smooth ride along curves.

Now I have a side car that allows stability when halting, nice ride on a straight road and long curves. I can pack it with a folding bicycle and camping stuff. I can do extremely long tours. But narrow curves may be painful. On the winding HWy 1 towards the Pacific in northern California, where the road literally curved around trees, I was so slow I became a hinderance of traffic (this after 9000 miles, so no rig greenhorn any more). I let traffic pass now and then (cars, trucks, vans), almost feeling ashamed. They thanked, I felt better again.

To do much mileage was not my goal. Rather, I consider this tour too fast. If I did it again I would stay longer at some places. Perhaps I should do it again...

Lorenz,
I guess the trip I plan with my son this year will have exactly that back stroke. Not enough time to enjoy. He insists in returning within maximum 2 month for not to loose clases.
Right now I enjoy the expectations to soon get a new engine for the Jawa, pass Easter in Middlegermany and somewhen this summer catch one red salmon somewhere way north.
Enjoy Your spring, here it's summer and I haven't had time to travel around much yet.
Sven

I total understand as I put my hack on because the doctors told me good chance I well be in a wheel chair in 4 to 5 years and my knees are so bad I have trouble holding up my ultra. If I had the founds I would take my time every where I go and hope to be able to take a couple of months when I do my last 5 states.

Guess I need to start a thread on what is a good days ride on a rig with out killing your self.
Thanks
Jeff
