From time to time we get to be nice and have fun doing it. Today was one of those times for me. There is a young couple that I ride with even though they have funny bikes that you do not set up on. I think they are called “C_ _ _ rockets.” Lol well I got a call last week I got a call from her asking if I would give her younger brother a ride. Her brother has had some problems from birth and she did not think he could hold on behind one of them. Those of you that know me know it does not take much to ride.

I am going to let the pictures tell the story other than to say I had a great time too.

Richard, that "thumb's up" says it all. Thanks for sharing! I can't tell who is having the most fun you or him but it certainly wasn't Baxter.

Way to go Richard. Labor Day week end I rode with the local HOG group to the Tri-Cities to answer phones for the Jerry Lewis MDA telethon. I gave several wheel chair bound kids and one amazing lady rides in the sidecar. Gail is very wheel chair bound but she was on the program video sky diving with an instructor. She said they used lots of Velcro and duct tape. When asked on the video what she wanted to do next she said, "I think I'd like to try white water rafting. I can't swim, but I can't fly either!" She jumped at the chance to go for a ride. She and the kids enjoyed it tremendously. What a great feeling it was to give them a thrill for a short while.

Wonderful. I know his smile is all the payment you need, but you will be repaid a thousand fold.

Although I have a ways to go before I'd take anyone in the car, it kinda was the goal in the back of my mind. My friend Ron, in Roswell New Mexico was my inspiration.
However, it appears that my Motorvation Spyder is hard to get into. My daughter, who is 49, tried it and it wasn't real easy.
However, it has to be a great sense of satisfaction to give someone the pleasure of riding in a sidecar.

Richard....

Two questions:

Why do you look so happy and your passenger is holding on for dear life?

Why do you have this huge windscreen and your passenger has none?

You know, it does pay to be nice, but be nice to your passenger!
