Hi Folks,

I'm old to bikes (and old to everything else), but new to sidecars. I just installed a Motorvation Spyder on my 2006 Harley-Davidson FXD. I'm enjoying it a lot, and have learned to carry spare underwear. I sent in my check to the USCA, and am looking forward to participating on this forum. I may not have a lot to add, but I'll try to at least be friendly. 🙂

Mark

Hi Guy: Glad you enjoying your rig. Welcome to the USCA. Let us know where you are, as there may be some of us in your area.

Good suggestion, thanks. I'm in Westchester County, NY, just north of NYC. Took the rig out for a ride today and picked up my 7 year old daughter at school. Was quite a hit. I'm reading thru the posts here. Great board!

Yep, children & dogs sure help make sidecars a lot of fun. Hey, the USCA National Rally is in your part of the country this year. See more info here: http://www.sidecar.com/mbbs22/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=7720&posts=1&start=1

Guy, also check out the manuals that can be accessed from the home page and then downloaded so you can read them. (Sorry, I'm old school and find it easier to read the papers in my hands rather than online.) Lots of great information and knowledgable people to help you are available through the site. Welcome and enjoy.

Hi Mark,

This July the 8th to the 11th 2010,the United Sidecar Association will hold it's 32nd National sidecar Rally in Essex Junction,Vermont. This is most likely going to be about the closest you will ever see this amount of sidecars in your area it would be well worth the trip hope to see you there!

Thanks, guys. I checked out the rally info. It's about 330 miles from me, all on interstate highways basically. A leisurely day's ride. I've marked it in my calendar and will be there!

Thanks, guys.

I received my USCA membership package in the mail. Nice directory. Used to be a Beemer thing like that, with names and numbers (maybe there still is, haven't owned a Beemer in a couple decades). Anyway, I signed up to be in the directory, but I guess it won't come thru until the next printing. So anyone in (or passing thru) the NY/CT area, PM me. Beer's on me.
