Early (pre '88) California Companion with torsional suspension.
If weak or broken, torsion straps are replacable with straps made from early VW Beetle FE straps. Later heim joint and clevis lower mounts are interchangable with the (unsafe) dinky ball and collet mounts this model used originally.

Thanks Hack'n.See I'm learning already.I thought my frame was rigid and the spindle was adjustable as to hieght and tire size.With the frame flat on the ground,I bounced on the spindle and it didn't seem to budge.I hope this will help me in adjusting from empty to loaded.
