Shigeo, I just got my rig in early February. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.

UGO,
The rig in my avatar is a 2003 Peace Officer's Special/Companion GT I put together for a retired Motor Officer.
A local H-D dealership had spent 16 hours (in vain) trying to join the two, then brought the pair to my shop in a pickup and trailer along with several mismounted parts.
The completed rig handled very well and was a pleasure to drive. The owner is a long rider and is very pleased with the setup.

Thanks, Hall.
I got mine ('90 Velorex 562) yesterday. It's been sitting in the elements for a long time.
I disassembled it and found that swing arm bearings were completely seized, and wheel bearings were also in bad shape.
I am trying to get parts. Maybe I should start a new thread in tech forum..
I have some Velo parts in my box. If wheel bearings and swingarm bearings is all you need, I think I have you covered.

Hack'n. This is a problem I see a LOT. Folks think that anyone with a set of wrenches is competent to hook a sidecar to a bike. they end up with a illhandling dangerous rig and they HATE sidecars because of their experience. Few things worse than an a bad handling sidecar rig. Sadly, until the general public comes to grip tht sidecars are NOT a simple bolt on accessory it will not get any better.
Hack'n , Lunatic:
Yes I see it's a problem and I just don't wanna think about it, I'm not a mechanic (just can change filters, oil and some trifles =))
I've just come from the garage. I polished my Valk&Cali-GT and... I love it!!! =))) It looks so beauuuutiful - more then just a 2whls bike!
But I'm not just a garage "washerman" or "bikeblack" (excuse me for my English). I'm a long way rider too =))
But I've got no experience in riding on 3 wheels. Let's see! =)))
Have a nice day!

Thanks. I sent PM.
I have a question.
How can I remove "packing" and "cup" to get to the wheel bearings?
(I am looking at "wheel and brake" parts schematic on VelorexUSA web site.)
They are not typical rubber dust seals.
Do I have to destroy them to remove?
When I did bearing replacement on my Velo 562 I jsut upgraded to traditional roller bearings. I'll look at my spare Velo wheel out there to confirm the size and install procedure. Eastern block wheel bearing tech can be a bit 'funky' at times. traditinal roller bearings are a nice improvement.

I ended up destroying one of swing arm bearings to remove it.
There was no place to hit the outer race hard.
One bearing is held axially with two circlips. Never seem a setup like that.
The dust seals on the wheel and swing-arm are felt seals with a steel retaining cup. Old technology but if lubed they last, and last, and .......
Most bearing supply's can furnish proper sized bearings, sealed or not.

Do you know any internet site where I can order bearings?
I don't know any local bearing supply company. I did search on yahoo yellow pages but the hits don't look like bearing retailers..
your local NAPA auto parts store can order any size you need. also have a lot in stock.

Really!
Thanks. I will try it.
I checked the garage, I have the wheel bearings, but no swingarm bearings. Email me at motopsycho@wt.midco.net if you want them sent out. If you know the size of the swingarm bearings I can get them here and include them easy enough also. I get them through my place of business so they cost less.
