Greetings all, from UK,

I'm new to your forum and new to sidecars. My newly fitted sidecar should be ready in a couple of weeks. It's a Watsonian Manx coupled to a Honda Silver Wing scooter and I'd like to hear from other Silver Wing riders who have experience of driving their sidecars. I'm especially interested to know of the handling charateristics; in fact any helpful comments. The Silver Wing/sidecar combination seems to be pretty rare here in UK, but I see a good selection of pictures of them on USA sites. Looking forward to making your acquaintance,
BeeVee

Thanks Beanie. No, never seen or heard of a Honda 900cc scooter over here. 600cc is enough to scare me into getting a sidecar! I sure will keep you posted on my progress when the new addition arrives, but the top speed question may have to waite a while. You can bet I'll be crawling along for quite a while yet. Look us up in UK too if you venture out this way - we're just 30 mile south of Bristol on the Bristol Channel coast.
Good Luck!

We have modified the triple tree on the Silverwing which makes for much lighter steering effort.
We are also now doing a pair of Bergmans that should also work out well.

We can only do it by modifying the stock triple tree. As this bike only has a "lower" tree all that needs to be done is the angle of the stem changed and spaced down to keep the bike leval when the forks are moved forward.
