I need a two seater, and the GTL is just the ticket.

Mike... FYI the GTL is not a two seater sidecar. Hannigan does offer a wide seat option, which I have, but the sidecar is not a double wide. With the wide seat my wife has plenty of room by herself, and there is room for her and one of the grandkids, but you would be hard pressed to put two adults in the sidecar.

By the way, my wife loves the GTL.

Actually finding a sidecar that is really wide enough for two full sized adults is hard except maybe for a Watsonian Oxford or Cambridge. Check sidestrider.com for these. If you talk to Doug say hello from Claude in Pa..

It's not that I'm putting two adults in the GTL. My eight-year-old will be in there for days at a time while we're traveling. I need room for her DVD, homework, books, toys, etc. The wide seat option is the way we'll go. The Liberator size was perfect, all her stuff found a place in it and she was happy. Our use of the GL1800 and sidecar really is for it's intended use. Multi day, multi thousand mile adventures. Our '07 trip to Sturgis had to be modified by leaving the Liberator in the garage, and just taking the GL1800 on two wheels. But that's another story not for here or now.
Solavo origanaly asked "What would be the best sidecar for a GL1800?" I can only share my experience and hope he doesn't make the same mistake I did.

I've have a GTL Since 05'......no major problems, minor issues that I consider "normal wear and tear", but the folks at Hannigan are always "upgrading" and changing minor issues (Design has changed to match farings better, etc....). I feel they are as good as it gets from a customer service standpoint. I had a "clip" break and they sent me a couple (just in case I guess) to replace it. I own a Champion and a Hannigan and they are both good, the Hannigan is on a GW. The GTL is the only rig that is "specific" in design and style to the GW in my opinion. I was told by a HD Dealer (as I rode the GW to get parts for my HD......LOL) that "If HD made a sidecar that nice I could sell a hundred a year!"

Just my 2 cents........Good luck!
