Are there people who, like me, build there own sidecars ?
I like to share some ideas.

Here is a link to some photo's of the sidecar rig that I built. Made from a big pile of "Chick Master" breadpans that I got at an auction.

Hi Lunatic,

Great sidecar, that is what makes sidecars so special,
Looks a bit like a german messerschmidt airplane from the second world war, you should remodel your gastank (and your fearing ofcourse) to.

Greetings,

Ingmar

Lee, I have a pair of aluminum Calumet camera cases about the size of the one you have on the back of the bike. I was going to mount one on the sidecar, but if you need a matched pair for the bike, I'd swap my two for your one.
If you are coming to Cameron, I can bring them along otherwise we could meet somewhere.

That Happy Trails pannier is on loan. I plan on making my own for permanent installation. It'll do for now. The Minnesota 1000 is coming up soon and I didn't have time to make one, so I stuck that on for now.
As for the tank, I don't weld. Nor can I justify remaking the fairing if the end result is no better than the Vetter it would be replacing. So, the vetter and stock tank stays. I have added fuel cells to the back to bring the fuel range up though. Total of 10.5 gallons of onboard fuel as it sits now.

Hey Mike, any chance you are competing in the Bonzai Road Rally on Memorial Day weekend? I'd love to see more sidecars competing this year.

I wanted to but I had a rotator cuff repair on my right shoulder April 15. My longest ride since then was only about 40 miles. I've been kind of saving myself for June 2 when I have a short trip to Cameron for the SKUNK Rally and on June 10 a couple hundred miles to Alpine Valley for the Jimmy Buffett concert with my daughter. Those trips are important to me so I want to do them before I decide what else I can tolerate. I was married in Brookings and the wife wants to go back this year. I'm lobbying for the Buffalo Run. Are you coming to Cameron?

We have a BRAND new baby here. I don't know for sure if I can get away for the Cameron event or not. Won't know till the day before. Metallic Waste will be at the SKUNK rally for sure, so will Sev Pearman on his GSX1100G/Velorex 565 combo. If I can't make it, those two can take photo's for me at least.

I'm in the process of building one. I have the tub framed up and just have some brackets and things to sort out before I put the skin on. Then I will start on the chssis and mounts.

Hi Dentman,

Any pictures from the work you have done yet or drawings?
What should it look like?

Greetings,
