Heading out tomorrow
My oldest grandson and I are head up to the Howdy summer sidecar gathering put on by the Georgia Sidecar Club which I am a member of early tomorrow morning. It is only about a 160 miles but this will be his some what longest trip so far and I hope many more to come.
Look Like A HOOT !!!
Hope the weather holds, we haven't had 2-3 day straight without rain since early April. Then it was still snowing !!!
Rain does not scare me that is what Gore-Tex rain suits are for. LOL I have ridden may a mile in the rain sometimes for days. My rig is my ONLY transportation so weather does not stop me. In 44 years of none stop riding I have lived many a year with out a truck or car but never with out a motorcycle and now my rig.
Yes my grandson and I are going to have a great time no matter the weather. We have a camp out every February in the Georgia mountains every year. Some years there is snow the whole time. This year it only got down to 27 degrees and no snow.
I will post pictures next week after getting back and have time.
Thanks
Jeff

Travel safe. Looking fwd to the pics.

Sorry to say after over 93K my bike let me down on this trip. It ran perfect up there. My grandson and I pulled in at the store, restraint and office turned it off. Paid the rest on the camp site got a bit to eat when to start it up to go to the camp sit and sit up. The motor was making one hell of a noise.
I had a good time but being stranded at the camp site for 4 days 3 nights was a let down. Thanks to good friends I got her home Sunday.
I checked her out while up there and very little compression on the rear cylinder. I took her apart this pass week and for some reason the exhaust valve stuck in the guide so the intake was hitting it bending the valve. I had just pulled over a few miles before the campground to ask someone if I was headed in the correct direction and turned it off it started right back up no problem.
Being my only transportation I have to fix it ASAP. So I have other heads that are dealer take offs as well as cylinders. The cylinder did not get hurt do to the problem but being the miles on it and I have others going to replace it as well. Here is a short video and working on others I will post.
Sure wish I could use enable here but here is the link. First minute and half is my grandson at the pond at the campground.

Jeff, good luck with the engine and may Your lung become well so You can continue your travels safe.
Every minute is worth it. God bless You.

Thank you. The old bike will be back running in the next week or two at the most. I just need to order some small items and wait for them to get here. Should be ordering them in the next day or two. I do all my own work so that is not a problem. I build motors for others all the time. I have 3 going on right now for customers. My biggest problem is some days I am not able to work much or at all.
Thanks
Jeff
Here is a video James Allmond president of the club and a good friend for all most 30 years made.
The Georgia Sidecar Club has a facebook page and all are welcome to sigh up to the page and post. We made it where you have to sigh up to post just to know who is posting. Great group of people.
This is not as easy as you would think. Van from Ohio loaned me his Valkyrie rig. With the blindfold on even when you are not moving it feels like you are. I did not do very well but it sure was fun. Coarse driving an unfamiliar rig did not help. Vanβs rig is all tricked out and hard to take off slow.
