can anybody help me figure out a way to obtain a windshield to fit my 1980 cle car? it is unavailable from harley-davidson. perhaps a plastic whidshield maker who u may have a had a good experience with? maybe someone has access to someone with obsolete hack parts laying around. a pattern for the windshield?? any help or suggestions r welcome.

Hi i had the same trouble previous owner had cut the original windshield down, i obtained a screen for a tle & re drilled to fit works ok just needs a wider trim but old trim is ok if you dont draw attention to it. i'l try & post a picky later. Hank

thanks, i've been wondering if i could do that, all the late model hacks look the same. any help is welcomed and apprieciated.

as promised some pics, you can see on the close up that the tle screen sits lower on the tub i was going to trim it but i think it's ok, centre hole is ok so i got a pal to sit inside & drill outward as i held screen in position. Hank

no such thing as left hand harley hack that was a serious cut & weld project. i wish i had had the forsight to run a thread like wngnut

well, well, u have one very "unique" rig then! u done good, it looks factory to me. but u know, most sidecar rigs r unique! people r always doing something different with their rigs, something that u hardly ever see anywhere else. a very small minority in the motorcycle world.
btw, i had an old road-king windshield that i cut and redrilled for a hack shield (just today. it is good to know that i can use a late model windshield for my hack tho.

my childrens inheiratance! bike restoration keeps my out of the bars and somewhat out of trouble. its a satisfying hobby!
