Hannigan Customer Service -- Another Big Thumbs Up

As I reported awhile back, the wife and I purchased a Hannigan Classic Twin sidecar back in September. It handles great, looks great, and provides a large, comfortable space for the wife and tons storage space.

I did not mention earlier that we encountered a few issues with the rig. I contacted Hannigan and dumped on them. They responded with a plan to redesign some wiring and then sent two of their installers (KY to IL) to our home to resolve each and every concern. I hesitated to report this because perhaps they (Hannigans) is unable to do this in each and every case. But I felt obliged to report the incredible customer service and their desire to ensure that I was 100% satisfied with the purchase.

So thanks to Hannigan Motorsports!

Jack

Thanks for posting as I just ordered my first sidecar from Hannigan last week. It is good to hear. It is not only my first from Hannigan but my first sidecar ever. I've been riding for over 48 years and for most of those I've drooled every time I see a sidecar. I've never driven one nor even sat on one but I couldn't stand it any longer, I had to get one for my new BMW K1600GT.

They had an example of a sidecar with the BMW 1600 in the showroom, very nice.

They did a fabulous job re-running my wiring and adding a relay for the ECC switch and a few other mods I requested. The customer service rep took my complaint and escalated it through their chain of command and engineers. Each one along the way contacted me by email. They re-engineered the ECC switch cable to fit my request/issue and I could not have been happier. They went way beyond what I expected they would do. Especially since they travelled to my home to make the changes. I was afraid I would have to travel down there (500 miles) or truck the rig down. Nope, when they were finished designing and building the harnesses they shot me an email indicating they would arrive at my home on Nov 5, which they did.

Anyway, the unit handles perfectly, looks great, all of the wiring and connectors are first class...very, very, happy with it.

So good to hear of great customer service, a company trying hard to make it right. I remember reading on a forum (here?) of someone complaining of their customer service... or of dealing with a strong personality that rubbed 'em the wrong way... can't keep everyone happy all the time I say. Glad to hear of your experience. I like what I see in Hannigan products - would like to own a Hannigan sidecar myself one day. They get production back up & running after the fire - anyone know?

The fire is history. They are fully up and running. They built our sidecar in August / September. They are putting out approx 2 sidecars per week, and of course are heavily involved with the trikes and trike kits. So again, the fire is history. In fact, I saw no evidence of the fire whatsoever, of course we were focused on our build and all the cool stuff in the showroom. 🙂
