Hello

Looked all over hell myself
Mounts ranged from 1,000.00 Ca side car to 600.00

Decieded to just sketch them up, and have local Machine shop make them

You get a better mount, and exactly what you need

Actually, a lot of folks sell mounts. I don't say that any decent machinist couldn't make them but ready made pieces just have to be cheaper. I'd try Claude at C. Stanley Motorsports [aka Freedom Sidecars] www.freedomsidecars.com, DMC Sidecars [formerly Dauntless Motors] www.dmcsidecars.com and Motorvation www.motorvation.com. Motorvation has a GREAT set of detailed diagrams for their clamp mounts at http://motorvation.com/mntdiag1.htm . Good luck!

I have different 1 1/4" frame clamps available but the Watsonian uses metric tubing so Doug Bingham is the Watsonian Guy. www/sidestrider.com

After talking to over 10 vendors, my confidence in the Mounts being correct was quickly diminished.

Ask for some recient reference, that these guys did mounts for, over the Net.

Having the Bike in front of someone desiging a mount makes all the difference in the world.

Once you pay the money over the Net, you are stuck.

Just trying to save you some GRIEF.

There are a Ton of small Machineshops, hurting for work these days.

My Mounts are solid 4140 Steel blocks, at 300.00 for (4) mounts and a shortned Adjustable Tierod.

You will get some poorly madeUniversal mounts on the NET, for a min of twice this amount.

They may or may not FIT>

Dhood,

It sounds like you've had some bad experiences, that's a shame. To say catagorically that all mounts bought on the Internet are poorly made is a bit short sighted. I'm not a fan of frame clamps in general but the products I've seen from Motorvation and from Claude Stanley are of good quality and both the firms stand behind their products.

Yep, there are some bad guys out on the Internet and you can get bilked but that's why folks come here to ask for advice. I personally know all of the folks that I suggested as sources and you do them an injustice by lumping them in with your apparent bad experiences. It's great that you found someone to make your mounts and I hope they are successful and last you a long time, just don't paint the entire mail order industry with one brush. There is a lot to be said for sourceing sidecar parts from folks who have years of experience with sidecars. There are good guys on the Internet too!

Here are two M/V frame clamps, very sturdy units.
They can also be set at a 90degree angle if needed.
