The title it's self a Parody so now you have a Parody about a Parody, I know it's confusing and that's why I kept it simple but alas they forgot about Harley and started bad mouthing the Indians, maybe if we got the BIA involved things would calm down,,,,but I doubt it.
gnm109 in my last remarks,i was responding to two different correspondants,, one concerning the marque indian, and one concerning the royal enfield plants in the uk and india,i apologise for the confusion. you did not see where i was going with the amf business,so i will let that one alone,you very kindly provided a link to information concerning royal enfield, at the end of the second paragraph at the top of the page are these words "royal enfield is now the oldest motorcycle brand in the world still in production". thats what i said in the first place, reading through this thread ,i see many people amused by an obvious gag, certainly not "spleen venting harley haters" very sorry you feel that way.
I learned to ride on a Harley in 1957, bought my first one in 1959 (Harley) had to sell it in 63 when I went into the Air Force. I owned several bikes including a new 74 Honda CB 750 purchased whiled stationed in Japan for 4 years. Japan is an outstanding country for motorcyclists. Finally ended up with an 81 Suzuki GS 1000 G which I attached a Velorex Sidecar to a few years back. The rig runs and drives very well. 🙂

This coming from a guy who grew up on a Italian Mini bike and then a jap dirt bike, rode two hondas, Built a custom chopper using a honda motor and most the rest HD parts, drivin almost every bike brand except a Guzzi(love those guys though), and lives next door to a Victory Executive- RIP(the way out....of America i guess). Being that i Love Sidecars and the rich History Harley HAD (bummed about that) I own HOGS. Also being 6 ft 5in tall and close to the 300 to 325 mark not else fits me except for the Taller BMW's. Otherwise I make most bikes look like the picture of the fat twins that rode minibikes in the guieness book of world records(i think we can all recall that pic....ewwwwy). peace and love to all. I'm thinking the guy that made this , was one of the 1% that actually got turned down from Eaglemark financing!!
Could be sour grapes from the paltry sum the Harley dealer offered for their brand x trade in.
