Ez Steer
I had a '95 Turbo RoadKing with an H-D Spyder. Weighed a little more than your Valkyrie. Worked fine at all speeds, even over a ton.
The placement of the wheel on the spyder is almost in the middle of the car so your 14" lead won't be a problem expecially at high speed. you may experience a bit of tire scrubbing in a full lock right turn at walking speed but that is a minor issue. Place it as far back as you can easily.
The .750" axle is the same as Harley's have used since there were Harleys. They moved up to 1" last year but there have been no problems of note with the 3/4" axle for over a hundred years. A 5.00x16" Coker Firestone will slip right on a Harley wheel and a Harley wheel will slip right on your Spyder (depending on which fender you have of course).
A bit of tweaking may be needed if the tire heigth is much different than existing to level the sidecar laterally. Toe-in should remain the same.

Thanks Lonnie and Mike. The Spyder came with a HD wheel and it is the HD model. I'm satisfied that the axle will be ok.
The car tire is exactly the same diameter as the MC tire but widerand flatter. Might have to readjust the lean out.
Thanks very much. I will continue to be on this forum and might need some help occasionally. I read Hal Kendall's info along with David Hough's book so I know just enough to be dangerous, LOL.

Indiana isn't that far from Wisconsin. Plan on coming up here June 1 for the fourth anniversary of the First Annual SKUNKS in the Woods Rally. http://www.cwizard.com/skunk/ I'll save you a spot next to Rosinante.
