=====================================
ISOK Sidecar RON-DEE-VOO II

Plans for the RON DEE VOO this year are coming together well. There
are a few new twists to it so read carefully.
Last year, our first ever RON-DEE-VOO was a success with over 100
in attendance in spite of it being our first year and some 'iffy'
weather. From the reports it seems as though all of who came had a
good time....I received approximately 30 emails from persons who had
planned to come or had even begun their trip but turned back due to
storms etc..I was just happy to be there myself .
When:
This year the dates will be August 5-7, 2005, PLUS a 'Bonus Day on
August 4th (more on that later).
Place:
The Union County Sportsman Club near Weikert, Pa...The location is
the same as last year as we received all good remarks from those who
attended concerning this facility. The folks from the Sportsman Club
were, and are, great to work with us and they are looking forward to
the sidecars returning in 2005. This facility is located in scenic
Central Pennsylvania and is about 65 or so miles north of Harrisburg
and about 20-25 miles West of Lewisburg, a. Directions etc. will be
posted soon.
In order to help in the planning of meals etc we will offer a pre-
registration this year. This will, hopefully, enable us to get a
more accurate estimate on how many will attend. Please think this
out and pre-register if at all possible.
Pre-registration fee is 30 dollars.
What is in this for you? What is the benefit of a pre-
registration? Well, to be candid about it I did not want to increase
the rally fee from last years 30 bucks and then knock off a few
bucks for those that pre-registered but we also wanted to offer an
incentive to pre-register. So, with the co-operation of the
Sportsman Club...this is where the BONUS DAY comes in. If you pre-
register by June 30th you will get an extra rally day free of charge.
This day will be Thursday August 4th. This day will not just be a
day with no agenda to it. There will be a group ride offered. We
will also have an option, to those who sign up ahead of time for it,
of a sidecar operator training seminar. This will be put on by
myself and Al Butterfield as two of the instructors(If there is
enough interest). There will be a small additional fee to attend the
training seminar as a copy of Hal Kendall's CD will be provided. If
anyone does not wish to go on the ride or attend the seminar they
will still be provided with a meal on Thursday evening if they had pre registered. You are
still welcome to come on Thursday even if you had not preregisted in
time but will be charged ten dollars for camping and a small fee for
the evening meal.

So..I trust this is seen as a good deal for you all. We have tried
to do what we can to make it appealing to you as this is YOUR RALLY.
Remember this event is being put on by a club, The ISOK , that has
no membership fees and no working funds. It can only happen through
the support of you, the attendee, and the ones who are willing to
sponsor this event. Sponsors from the Sidecar Industry and other
areas will be listed..so..Please support YOUR sponsors.

The Friday-Sunday portion of the event will include two nights
camping with no extra charge for RVs, guided and self guided tours,
the zoo, the kid's playground, stuff for the kids, sidecar games
with trophies, door prizes plus...THE ISOK DOOR PRIZE, an ISOK 60/40
drawing (Not a 50/50..in this case the winner will get 60% of the
kitty), a meal Friday evening, a breakfast buffet Saturday morning,
and the Awards Dinner Saturday evening. Mogo the destroyer Funnel
Cakes are also to be offered. For the Saturday evening Awards Dinner
we encourage everyone to dress in their best ISOK RED GREEN RALLY
ATTIRE..maybe we will even have a

Practicing in a safe area, without ballast is a good idea. The addition of ballast is also a good idea when learning, especially if the chair is on. Ballast permanent, it is also possible. Do not let anyone ever tell you that removing the ballast is like a flower in the cap. If you need to use it, and if it makes you feel more secure and stable on the road to a permanent .. No problem.
