Chelan Rally
Hey, anybody else going to the Chelan Sidecar Rally May 17-20th? I have been the last 3 years, it's a gooder!
es, sent my registration in this week......hope the 4th time is a charm.
I am registered and have a campside.Coming from Nanaimo, this year with a pompous but very comfortable Goldwing.I am waiting to hear how rough
the phase 2 might be.
Gary

A e-mail I just got suggests that there aren't that many people pre-registered and that if the numbers don't increase pretty darn quick it's going to be hard to get this year's rally off the ground. I'd like to suggest to those of us planning to go that we should get our registrations submitted ASAP. I'm sure that if you change your mind it will be easy enough to get your $40 registration fee back.
Gary,
Father time must be creeping up on you too if you're riding in on a "GeezerGlide" lol

Hey,Lonny,I think I am allowed a midlife crisis at the age of 80.My wife and dog deserve maximum comfort.I do not like travelling without them.-If I have more info on the Phase 2 i might switch to
the K1100/Modifivation yet
I came to Chelan via SR20 in 2009.It was pretty cold.So this year the comfort wing with heaters and Hippo hands.See 2009 picture.
We will be there this year, but wimping out of the campground and returning to Mason at the timeshare/condo exchange for the whole week. Also less money than a trailer site at the campground and a great ride around the lake to the Rally site. Rally fees paid already, I like to try and be first. We will be on Santa's Sleigh" the R100S Sputnik Rig, "KawaHack" Kawasaki Nomad V1600 with Formula ll sidecar is for sale. See you all...
See you there--we think it is a "Bester" Cheers--Santa
The road up from Boise to Chelan last year was great but SR 20 was closed due to slides 15 miles before Winthrop so I had to backtracked to Hiway 97, then south into Oregon's fog and drizzle to the Painted hills along the Journey into the past Scenic byway.

My wife and I are pre-registered, our third year. We had to choose between Chelan and the National Rally and decided on Chelan. See you there.
Great! See you there Will.
I'm in; tent site 91. Happy to have another to share the site. Leaving North Seattle morning of 17th; coming home after the Sunday brunch. Second CSR. Cheers, Mike
Hi,Mike,I am on site 92.Site 88 and 93 are also booked up.That corner of the campground is filling up.Putting a licence on the Goldwing today.Hoping for warmer weather.Last night it was still near freezing. The last 2 years the trip to Chelan was solid rain.Once across the mountains on Stateroute 2..
,the next year on canadian highway 3 to Keremeos, the crossing the border at Nighthawk.
Hi Storch. I had better luck last year, I guess; went eastward on US 2 and had only 10 minutes of rain at Stevens Pass on the way home Sunday. My fingers are crossed for both of us! Mike
