don't want to start a debate on this. just what I done I have a 97 Honda shadow ace. 15 cast wheel off 02 Honda. I blow up a tire on my first attempt and you may too if you over inflat what I done was mount wheel on bike an use it as a lath {it was trail and error} cause there no way to tell so how much I did little at a time till I could get tire to bead up. you don't want to take to much off I put on a 185x65-15 general altima max psi is 51 I had it bead up at 60 psi I know that's over inflat but I felt safe with that. I also polish bead lock like chorme and used tire lube. plan on spending all day. only down fall I see is tire is for 5" rim and mine is 31/2" there is plenty of clearance at swing arm. the diff. in car to bike is 0.112 not much but tire will blow before it beads up I am not telling any one to do this but it worked for me. that's just my two cents. now I have 40 psi and did 200 miles

I have an 09 Honda Aero. I fought for two days to get a 15" tire on the rear rim. I finally got it to take a bead. Thirty miles out It was flat. When I took it off, it was delaminated on the inside from the over pressure of seating the bead. I have successfully put 15 inchers on the rear of Suzuki S-40s 5 times but can't get one on the honda. I have been through 2 regular MC tires since and am due for another.

like I said they will not go on I cut the rim last tire but it was not enough then I mounted a 165x80-15 and it went on it was a classic but mileage was no good. but when I tried to mount this general it would not go on. after I cut down wheel it went on at 60 psi but tire max is 51pis. 10 psi over isn't bad. I also sanded all the factory lath marks out with 400 wet paper an polish at ramp were it jumps over bead lock.
