I didn't think so, but is this in fact a BMW (Steib) sidecar?
if not, any idea on mfg.?

It is not. BMW never made sidecars for sale. They did rebrand Steib sidecars and resell them. I could easily be wrong but I believe that the only civilian version sold was the BMW "Special" which was a rebranded Steib TR 500. There are other folks out there who can probably add to or correct this.

Oops, I typed BMW. ..meant to say Steib.
Doesn't look like a Steib to me (fender, mount, shape)
As well, it appears to be fiberglass?
