It looks like EVERYONE is at least considering building an e-bike. HD had a resounding fail with the LiveWire [short range, long price] but that's not stopping BMW. Take a look at this article about adding a sidecar battery pack when you need longer range. Pay no attention to the fact that the rider on this would be supremely uncomfortable...it's just a concept.
We know it not that simple but BMW has a lot of experience in the sidecar game, maybe they'll figure it out.
