Well, as I have posted before, i have an 02 Road King that Connie got me for my B day in July,02. Don't want to sell it, but really don't ride it much anymore. It has 70k miles, but is in nice shape. So I thought maybe a sidecar? Well, Connie ordered me a new Liberty for my 60th---Yahoooo. The one in this picture on the Liberty site is the look I really liked

That will be a great looking set-up, Greg. There's something about a RK hack that's really appealing. It will be interesting to learn which of the 3 rigs gets the most use.
Claude is almost done with my VStrom rig. Had to take the Goldwing/GTL to the USCA rally. Guess I need a Harley now to keep up with you.
Hi Jack, bet you can't wait for the Strom. I ride mine daily when i am in JAX, I think i like it more and more as time goes on. The plan is to keep the Road King at our loft in the mountains (Wrightwood). I don't plan to use it on any trips, just local stuff. I plan to put a new clutch in, and change the gearing to 337 (based on some advice on this forum). We (a good friend and I)also plan to do the paint of the sidecar, as well as the new triple trees, and install (Griff is immensely talented, so I think it will go well). I'd like to have it for the Griffith Park Rally, but Xmas is probably more realistic. Be sure and post pics of the Strom when you get it.greg
I think you will appreciate the aesthetic of the Road King / Liberty combo as well as the quality of the product. My prime mover is an 03 Road King pulling my Liberty car. I also had Pete install the 5 degree raked trees and this has made the ride as smooth as possible. I've ridden the outfit year round and sometimes on really rough roads (up in the Cascade Mountains) and it has just been a wonderful vehicle. Hope you have as pleasing a time with your outfit as I have with mine.
Thanks Dave,I really like the look of the Liberty and have heard only great things about Pete, both his product and service. I am also getting his triple trees, as well as changing the gearing to 337 (its time for a new clutch anyway). Any other recomendations?
