I have a ural with a cargo box sidecar,I use it as my truck for most jobs in my lawn and garden bisiness.I carry my mower and other assorted tools,remove waste,carry mulch ect.I have a small pickup but rarely use it. Is there anyone out there that uses their bike on the job,Mike.
I have set-up an '84 V65 Magna with a CSC chassis using a Delta aluminum workbox, that is in daily use by a roofing contractor for transporting his tools to the job. He takes his truck to the site for the tearoff and uses the sidehack as a commutor rig, then takes the truck to the dump with the trash after the job is completed.
Another rig in daily work use is a 1500 Intruder with Velorex set up for an area wooden boatwright who wanted a rig for his tools (and his dog) so he could take them right out on the dock with him instead of having to cart his equipment from the Marina parking lots to do repairs on sailboats and yachts.
Because of the fuel and ferry rates quite a few of our customers who live on the San Juan Islands or on the Olympic Peninsula use their rigs for daily commuting to the Mainland year around.
Yup. I use it to great advantage. I park my rig outside the office in a rural shopping center, and it attracts the attention you'd expect. I use it to show real estate to some, and it makes the showing unforgettable. With the business name on it wherever I go, it is a rolling billboard as well as a great way to travel.
