i have been going every year since 1986. went 1 time b4 that in 1966 when i was stationed at macdill afb in tampa. IMO Daytona is the "grandaddy" of em' all. no matter what "brand" you ride. 500000 bikers from all over the world. vendors for just about anything you can imagine for motorcycles. races: ama dirt mile, daytona 200 road race, drag racing in bithlo, stupid motorcycle demolition derby,hp shootout at ami. main street, the loop,biker bars,ladies. what more can you ask for?

Used to live near McDill AFB right after we go married. Bought that old house at a good price and didn't really figure out why it was so cheap until we moved in and the planes started flying overhead. Sure wish that had had closed caption television back then as we couldn't hear a thing...It was worse than the time we pitched our tents after dark right next to a railroad track and didn't know it until the 2am freight came though..whew..
You are right about the motorcycle demo derby being stupid but if anyone has never seen it they probably should. Wonder how a sidecar figure eight race would go over?

HEY- THEY HAVE A FIGURE 8 TRACK IN AUBURNDALE FLORIDA. MAYBE WE CAN GET SOMETHING GOING FOR NEXT YEAR.
